James Edward O'Rouark was born in Palms MI. in 1865 to James Alexander and Catherine Fisher Alexander. James later married Ellen (Nellie) Alexander who came from Southampton, Ont. Nellie's father was James Alexander. The two of them moved to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho where James O'Rouark was employed there for most of his adult life as a surveyor and land manager for the U.S. Government. They moved to Bellingham and after Ellen died James spent his last remaining years there, under the care of his older daughter Allegra.
Their marriage produced two handsome boys, Gerald and Douglas and two stunningly beautiful daughters, Allegra and Elaine. The older daughter, Allegra Catherine O'Rouark was my mother. The oldest boy was Gerald O'Rouark who went to West Point, had one son Terence who had one daughter Nancy. Douglas James had five daughters whereas Allegra had four boys and one girl. Elaine had only one son James.
