Accomplishments

Project and Systems Management  

 

-Two years product manager for test tools WinRunner, XRunner, Purify
-Coordinated and promoted up to 20 presentations, seminars, and information conferences
-Managed an eight member conversion team for a multi million spares pricing application
-Wrote and published a non-fiction book, which contained 480 pages and 218 graphics
-Scheduled, coordinated, and managed four separate software training classes
-Developed a medical billing system using Microsoft Windows

 

Data Base Administration  

-Designed and implemented well over 20 Oracle tables in 6 different applications
-Developed databases to support large Essbase environment
-
Designed, implemented, and populated 9 oracle tables on IBM/VM platform
-Built and TPNS tested a large IBM/IMS environment for AION knowledge base system
-Developed a large IMS system that controlled engineering drawings
-Evaluated a number of off-the-shelf database software products
-Upgraded large Oracle system to release 7.34 

 

Software Experience  

-Developed 2 separate HTML web-based applications
-Programmed main sections of Boeing PART PAGE for spares inventory management
-Installed and tested PERL software suite and libraries on Sun Solaris
-Reprogrammed a number of very large C applications for UNIX Sun Solaris
-Designed and customized several Visio stencils and templates used to document DMR-P
-Worked on UNIX HP based application involving maintenance engineering
-Extensive programming in Oracle FORMS 3, 4.5, 5, probably 30 programs
-Significant use of Motif user interface applications using C language, probably 50 screens
-Programmed inventory list application that involved imbedded SQL for DB2
-Converted large (10,000 lines) complex C programs to Sequent platform from HP
-Developed large reporting system (15 reports) on IBM VM/oracle using FORMS 3
-Designed and programmed data transfers (>3 mb) between AIX and IBM mainframe
-Programmed AIX applications using C language, Fortran, Motif, and Oracle
-Worked on graphics application with postscript, UNIX, IBM SPF and DB2
-Developed floating-point conversion routines between UNIX and IBM
-Programmed a randomizer for that could be used with IBM IMS HDAM files
-Dealt heavily with schematics and wire diagrams using CADDStation graphics and tools
-Wrote a payroll system for medium sized Northwest Company
-Developed a way to track and acknowledge parking tags for city government
-Designed detailed book cover using Adobe Photoshop

 

Software Installation  

-Performed installs on WinRunner, Xrunner, Purify and a number of other software tools
-Installed a large computer tape library system on IBM mainframe that had 10,000 files
-Implemented an MRP planning system on IBM system
-
Installed a computer scheduling system for IBM that scheduled 3,000 computer batch jobs

 

Hardware Configuration  

-Installed hardware for several Sun UNIX sites including local networks
-Configured and installed shared Adept license manager on NT box
-Improved Sun UNIX hardware performance in some cases by 50 percent   

 

Software Testing  

-Designed a number of software testing procedures for use on unix environment
-Developed a library of program test document scripts
-Built a front end user interface for TPNS product  

 

Program, System Documentation and Writing Skills  

-Initiated and performed recovery of DMR-P documents
-Heavily involved in SEI/CMM compliance efforts
