Our cat Lucifer grew too much hair and it began to mat. Now if you ever try to comb out a cat that has matted hair it's about like trying to brush an electric eel. So we got Luci what's called a lion cut. He looks pretty good but the dogs all thought he was a strange cat and barked at him all day.
Here's our cat two weeks later. He looks much better.
