We
have a sunken window in back with a nice big culvert protecting it.
There was no cover for it
so for the last
25 years
I had a storm fence gate laid over it to protect us from broken legs and
missing kids. Today I got
out a bunch of rebar and wired
up a cover. I talked my son Val into tig welding the bars
together. He also debured it
and used his plasma cutter
to whack off the ends.
Here I bent up some rebar for the frame and
tied it down with wire.
Val got busy with his tig welder.
A great grate.
