I didn't know my sister very well.  She was a year younger than me and I always called her just "Marie".  She went by Marie C. Vautier for most of her life.  When I was six I did not want to go to school so mom said fine and waited one year.  So I wound up in the same class as my sister at Immaculate Conception, Everett, WA.  Here is a picture of our first grade first communion. Marie is top left of center.  I'm center first row.  I look kind of confused.

The pictures below shows my sister when she was 3 or 4 with her mom.  Allegra, my mother, looks good here.  Allegra was not known to smile much.  Next Marie poses on the front porch of our house on Grand street in Everett about 1949. The next picture was taken about 1957 with her pet bulldog. Finally she appears in the late 1960's in SF.

Marie was buried in the family plot at Bayview Cemetery, Bellingham Wa.
