We got a new dog. She's only 18 months old and a mix between a black lab (what else) and something or other. My guess that it's a Weimaraner (wisenheimer). I have nothing against any breed (except bassets) and she is a beautiful dog, friendly and playful, and most important, she doesn't bark--sheer music to my ears. The dog pound said her name is "Venus" but she doesn't really look much like a venus to me so I continue to call her blackdog, until I can negotiate a name change with the family. That may be hard to do since Cyn loves the name venus.
